None of your efforts ever goes waste

𝑰𝒕 π’˜π’Šπ’π’ π’‚π’π’˜π’‚π’šπ’” π’”π’‰π’π’˜ 𝒖𝒑 π’Šπ’ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 π’Šπ’• π’˜π’‚π’” π’Žπ’†π’‚π’π’• 𝒇𝒐𝒓.
On the cloudy afternoon of July 12, 2023, something happened that changed my thought process.
And it took only a moment for me
As planned: I was on my way to pick up some groceries for the day.
My mind was tensed over something that happened in the morning.
I was on my phone, expressing my upset and strangely ignored looking at the sides of the road.
As I was crossing the road to go to my regular shop.
I was slammed by a two-wheeler racing towards me from the right.
I lost control, and my phone flew to the other side of the road.
I sensed my entire body swirl like a 360-degree chair.
I landed on the ground face-forward.
and I hear a bang!
10 seconds later, I realized that it was an accident.
I found myself lying on the street. Shocked. I felt as if my legs were snatched from me. As I picked myself up to blame the rider, I became silent. I was surprised to find myself standing on my legs. It was a little hard to believe that there was not a single internal or external injury from such an extreme force.
Fast forward, I came home and began thinking, – How did this miracle happen? How did my leg not break from such a high-intensity hit?
A year ago, I signed up for a one-year physical training program. Like most, my fitness goals were limited to some weight loss, better shape, and an increase in stamina. Till the 10th month of the training, I was unable to see any visible results. Every day, I was disappointed to see myself weighing the same on the scale, lacking stamina at the end of the day, or could see the out-of-shape body.
Like most beginners, I was getting disappointed with my efforts too. I felt like giving up.
I felt like my success was running away from me. Be it health or work.
But this event made me realize all this while my body and mind were getting ready for something bigger in life. My everyday leg training contributed to making them stronger to take hits of any intensity. My everyday meditation practice prepared my mind to be sharp and calm to take any kind of chaos or randomness. Every day my little efforts were fueling my body and mind with strength and resilience for a bigger vision in life which my narrow mind couldn’t see.
I don’t know where you stand on this. But I do believe that things happen to us for a reason. Major events in our lives are meant to teach us lessons. This one did it for me.
Life said to me through this incident that you may sometimes feel like you are talented, hardworking, and a better performer than others in that area, but somehow success is running away from you. However, that’s a lie you must not believe. Your every effort ( tiny or huge) is preparing you for the areas in which you are meant to have success.
