In my past, whenever I heard or read the quote ‘๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ’ I could not relate to context. I would think it is something for the world leaders and not for me. It is something that is unachievable because I need to be big or strong enough to cause a change in the world. Thanks to the conditioning from parents, peers, community, education, and profession which always encouraged me to remain in conformity so that I am liked and blended.
While I was trying to blend, I was constantly curious to explore dimensions that disregarded conformity but acknowledges individuality. I am glad that minimalism, mindfulness, and self-love perspectives helped me discover my individuality and live a life that is intentional and powerful. Every day of 2020 and 2021 was a great opportunity to apply these new perspectives and observe the results.
Minimalism helped me in owning fewer possessions, removing excess possession, and focusing only on the things that matter the most. It helped me have a happy, healthy, and purposeful life. Mindfulness helped me become aware of the modern mania of appearing successful. I was able to free myself from always looking hurried, rushed, and multi-tasking, and stressed. It helped me pause, observe and enjoy the present moment- be it a simple task of drinking water or eating my meals, or facing any difficult or joyful moments. Every moment is an opportunity to observe and not react. Self-love helped me heal internally and get in touch with my source. I became aware of my mind-body-soul and the importance of it being aligned.
Bringing change is completely achievable; I am living proof as I was as typical as anyone living in this country thinking of my next possession. I embraced change through these new perspectives of living and will never go back to the way life was before. I truly believe we can change the world and it is completely achievable to the one who seeks it.
Gratitude to 2021 and looking forward to 2022.
